What an adorable story. Love the cat Vanilla, had one just like it. I too am looking for a good air purifier and I'm tired of all the research I have done. This seems pricey but may give it a try.

We purchased the gator and subjected it to my rottweiler, a young male pit bull, then two yellow labs. It is not only the only toy that has ever survived, it still looks new! Seems impossible that a plush toy could be so indestructible. FYI to my son in Manhattan:
2 pet stores in NYC carrying these toys now!

Where are their toys manufactured? I can't find that information on their website, which makes me suspicious. And these days, I'd think that's a fairly basic fact to include in a review.

Sadly, I must report Browser the mini schnauzer killed the alligator within a matter of hours. He is so hard to deal with. He loves toys. To death. If they have anything tougher they can send it my way.

Thanks for the review! You can view the FAQs on our newly redesigned website.

Bags:
The Doody Digger comes with five Doody Bags, but any bag can be used, including plastic grocery store bags, flushable bags, and biodegradable bags. The dog waste bag only needs to be replaced when it feels too heavy. Prop up the Doody Digger when not in use, and the weight of the waste will virtually seal the bag until it’s time to use it again.

Cindy, here is the answer to your question-

The Doody Digger is made from high density polyethylene, which has a naturally slippery surface that is non-stick and makes cleaning simple. If you need to clean the Doody Digger, it is best to wait until the waste has dried in the tube and just bang it against something hard and the waste will flake off. You can also use a hose to rinse it out.

LynnO -
Also from our new FAQs:
Can the tube clog if I scoop too much waste at one time?
If you get too much on the shovel, it MAY not funnel down into the tube. If it's dry, it usually breaks apart and goes into the tube fine. You cannot block or clog the tube. If it makes into the 3" tube, it's going down!

It really is so easy to use that even kids can do it!

It's important to realize that ionizers are not safe for birds! I'm in the market for an air purifier, but need one that is safe for the little birdie :)
