Guest golden Scout got a bath and nail trim yesterday, and now I’m thinking I should have saved the bath, at least, for tonight. I took him to play with some puppies at a friend’s house, and he learned how to wallow in the kiddie pool and in the mud. I hope the friends for whom I’m watching him appreciate the lessons.

Here he is in the pool:

A secret puppy society forms to make plans for total puppy world domination. Who would suspect them? They’re puppies!

Puppy 1: “First we lull them into trusting us because of our cuteness. Then we strike.”

Puppy 2:  “When do we eat?”

Puppy 3: “I’m getting kinda tired!”

Puppy 4: “Who invited blondie?”

Disagreements among the plotters erupt:

“Blondie” asserts his authority by sitting on the puppy planning a coup.

We go back next week for more playplanning for the total puppy takeover of the world. :)

Update: More fun with kiddie pools back at home:

  2. I can see how dirty that water in the pool is! Somebody’s been digging!

  3. They went from the mud puddle to the pool and back, multiple times.

  4. Why haven’t puppies taken over the world? When I see one, I can’t seem to do anything else productive.

I think the reason we have wars is because puppies aren’t allowed in the Pentagon. If someone could get a pack of puppies past security, we’d probably have world peace in a matter of hours!
