Best wishes to Kim, and a little chance to win

Our own Kim Campbell Thornton checked into a hospital yesterday and had her pesky gall bladder removed. Good riddance to it, I say, and that’s the voice of experience talking. Add your get-well-soon wishes to her here on the blog, and if you have Facebook, you can get updates from her dog Harper, here. Harper reports mom’s doing fine post-op this morning and already drinking tea.
Today’s my monthly volunteer shift in San Francisco, working 12-5 at the twice-monthly sale that’s open to members and non-members alike at the SF Raw Feeders co-op. Here’s a previous post on my first day of volunteering. Here’s how to find us. Come in and bring your questions!

Here’s a special incentive: The first person who walks in and tells me my socks don’t match will be given an autographed set of two of my books — “Why Do Dogs Drink Our of the Toilet” and “Do Cats Always Land on Their Feet?” — PLUS! a dozen fresh eggs from my own chickens!
I’ll also have The Drewbinator with me, as a extra special bonus.
No visit to Christie’s this time, and no long walk in the park. Puppy Rawley has a cough, and needs to be kept away from other dogs until it resolves.
Christie may drop in for a while, so you may get to meet her, too. And her socks will match, I promise you!

Hope you feel better, Kim.
And skritch skritch for Drewbie!
Gina, please, for the love of all that is good, tell me you’re not wearing Crocs today.

Get well soon, Kim. I hope you don’t go home with an Elizabethan collar!
Heal fast.

Thanks, everyone. I feel great, and no E-collar was necessary, Tony.
