Face it: Without Teh Kittehs, there’d be no need for Teh Interwebs

Long been said the only thing more popular than porn on the Internet are pictures of cats. Lots and lots of pictures of lots and lots of cats.

Heck, without porn and cats, the Internet may NEVER have caught on.

In honor of the feline inspiration behind the greatest communications medium the world has ever known,  Mashable offers the 10 best KittehVids Evah.

Put down your beverage before viewing so you don’t spew on your monitor laughing.

Completely unrelated, but that’s how my mind works …

I’m delighted to know that the Pets.com sock puppet has a job! He’s working for Pet Butler, a franchised pet-waste clean-up service company. Thanks to Amy Suggars of Ohio Pet Nannies for inadvertently providing me with the answer to one of my most burning questions.

Also: Will someone please open a franchise here in Sacramento? I would SO pay for this service.

Finally … more crazy vid. My brother and his boxers (he’s on his second, from boxer rescue) are just like this. He “commands” them, and they’re totally, “Huh? Did you say something”?

  1. It’s good to know that the Pets.com sock puppet is employed. After his terrible accident with Miss Faith, I can only assume that Pet Butler has a good insurance plan with no exclusions for preexisting conditions…

  3. I am so glad you said to put down our beverage because I would have sprayed ice tea all over my keyboard! I laughed way too hard!

I liked #1 but also felt bad for the talking kitteh because he was very upset!

#3 woke up my dogs - they all began looking for the kitteh in my computer.

And the surprised kitteh was hysterical even if I’d seen it before.

However, the guy who wrestled the cat food away from the hungry kitteh better watch out in the future! Kittehs have looong memories.

  5. OMG that cat couple was so crazy funny. I loved it. Have to share this with all my friends.

Is there a EMAIL icon or another way for me to email this to people (besides copy/paste the url)?

  6. Uh, no … I’m surprised we don’t have it. Gotta get the Black Dog team on that.

  7. I am not sure anyone will find this funny (except Liz, maybe) but here is my cat Snowflake checking out Dina, my Alligator Snapping Turtle. It’s kinda dull, but at the end I was very worried for Snowflake’s life.

And impressed Dina could move. She always sits there like a rock. For five years. A rock, and then this.
