Mikkel Becker Shannon, PetConnection.com team member and new mom, reports that things are going well with the new baby. Proud grandfather Dr. Marty Becker actually dragged himself away to go tape another segment for “The Dr. Oz Show” last week.
As things start settling in to the baby-care groove, Mikkel sends word that their two dogs are doing well, especially Willy. Writes Kel:
Willy may not be the most athletic dog, but what he lacks in brawn, he makes up for in tongue.
For Willy, no Kong treat is too deep, no yogurt container too long, or face too far away to lick. I have had him on my lap in front of me with his head facing away and his crazy frog tongue will shoot out like a party blower to reach over his head and get me on the face.
The most amazing thing is that dad’s dogs at home with their long snout advantage can’t even come close to Willy when it comes to reaching hard to get food in containers. Willy licks his competition, even with his flat face handicap.
Yay Willy!
