We went to kids Hospitals and Seniors homes weekly, and it was quite honestly the most fulfilling thing I have ever done with dogs. Our most touching moment was when Tessa was requested by a young girl who was dying. Watching Tessa being able to bring some peace to her, and to her parents, is the proudest I have ever been of my girl. If you have never done therapy work, I can't possibly recommend it enough. I truly think that the dogs love the work, too. Tessa spent almost eight years doing therapy visits. We went to kids Hospitals and Seniors homes weekly, and it was quite honestly the most fulfilling thing I have ever done with dogs.

I see I should have written that David likes working in the "dark," not the "dog" so that people don't see him cry when he talks about these visits. And Angel on a Leash is in 12 different facilities around the country, not county. LOL. My dog is our school therapy dog and he comes to work with me 4 days a week. The effect he has on the kids and staff is heartwarming. It truly is amazing.
