Christie discussing Vick on Live from the Left Coast tonight

I’ve been asked to discuss my SFGate.com column about Michael Vick and what he did to his dogs on the radio show Live from the Left Coast with Angie Coiro — I guested, along with Marion Nestle, on her show about the most recent Nutro pet food recalls earlier this year — this evening at around 6:40 PM Pacific Time.
You can listen to the show in the San Francisco Bay Area at 960 AM, or on the Internet at www.green960.com.
They also run an open discussion during the show as well, at www.lftlc.com/live.
Hope you can tune in!

I’m so glad you are doing this Christie. After reading your article, I am certain Vic hasn’t changed. How could he do such terrible things to dogs and to our pets, animals that need to be loved and cherished? Sick to my stomach over Vic is not the half of it. Good luck tonight. Wish I could listen in, but I can’t. Letting people know the terrible things done to these dogs under the guise of dog fighting - and is just plain animal cruelty - at least presents a united front against such evils. As a society we should penalize and abhor people who promote these evils against the innocent dogs - especially under the guise of “sport”. Vic should be ashamed to show his face in public.

Sadly green960.com won’t let me listen since I’m in Canada.
Good luck. Wish I could listen in.

Excellent article Christie. I wish it would be printed in every newspaper in America!

I continue to be amazed at how some of the people (in the comments) don’t understand that being compassionate about pets doesn’t rule out being compassionate about other animals and humans. GEEEZ - it’s not like there’s a limit on compassion and caring!
Great article, by the way.
