  3. There’s a sportswriter I know who asked me with true bafflement after the Vick bust, “What’s the big deal about dog-fighting?”

“I mean, don’t all dogs fight sometimes?” he said. “You animal lovers sure get worked up about nothing.”

    Srsly.

Later, he did cop that some of what he read was “pretty hard-core,” but that he thought it shouldn’t keep Vick from playing in the NFL.

  4. Wow, that guy is one of the biggest blowhard idiots I’ve ever met. Everyone’s an idiot that disagrees with him, and he knows best about something he’s never bothered to research and knows only through stereotypes. Typical jock, I suppose.

  5. Well, it doesn’t look like Michael Felger is actually a sportswriter, but some blowhard sportsradio/TV jackass. What he does has nothing to do with intelligence or real reporting, just getting ratings and saying whatever he thinks the lowest common denominator listeners want to hear.

  6. Nice.

Goodness knows that it’s unthinkable that normal everyday folk be pit bull owners too, they’re just not as glamorous as the ones on teevee.

  7. Maybe we need regulations to neuter and muzzle sports writers. Then we won’t have to hear this cwap and they can’t pass on their low IQ to their offspring.

  8. I started my newspaper career as a sportswriter, but fortunately I got over it, and I’m too old to procreate now anyway. :)

  9. Um, yeah. The tone of the ‘article’ and the fact that he published a multi-page follow-up with his purposefully flaming responses to the hate mail he received, tells me this guy is mostly out for attention.

Don’t feed the trolls, people! No more linking to this idiot, that’s what he wants.
