Excellent tips Dr. Becker. I have never heard of pet friendly anti-freze.

I would also highly recommend pet owners to keep their dogs on a leash anytime they are around a body of water during winter time (this include lakes, ponds, water hazards at golf courses, etc). We are having a lot of cases here in Colorado that involves dogs falling into frozen ponds. Many dogs and some humans trying to rescue them from the freezing water have died. It is very sad and it can be avoided.
