Can you see how exhausted these poor chickens are?
For a couple weeks now, they’ve been working to fill an order for three dozen eggs for the Inauguration Day breakfast my pal Elaine Corn is whipping up. (I’m invited, but I gotta work.)
C’mon girls! Just four more eggs by Monday! Yes you can!

Love those chickies!

I am so glad I put the internet connection in the coop. The hens laid three more eggs this afternoon, so I can only assume they read the blog post.
One more to go, ladies. Yes you can!

Is Elaine whipping up the official ObamaOmelet?

Something much fancier, I think! Maybe I can get her to take a picture.

I was worried that you might be using them as projectiles rather than delectables :>)

The owners of chickens in Fort Collins are happy to have them.
Did you get your dozen or even possibly a baker’s dozen? Please let us know the production results.

Waiting for the morning’s activity … I think we’ll hit three dozen, as planned.
I will take a picture. :)
