The year has already started out on a better note because:
l. Batman, my cat, has lost two pounds and is now down to 16 pounds—has more to go, the vet says.
2. Obama will be a powerful positive force for the world and that makes me feel much less tension than I did these last 8 years.
3. The days are now getting longer.
For me, at this moment, no big crisis is looming.
Happy New Year, everybody—with skin, with fur, with hardshells, WHATEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy New Year to everyone at Pet Connection! I’m home with my kitties and we had a snuggle-fest last night. There’s nothing better than being falling asleep the sound of two purring kitties!

Hi Gina! I just got some great news! I work at Iams, and I think you may know about our holiday adoption event, Iams Home 4 the Holidays. The event started on October 1, 2008 with a goal of one million pets adopted into forever homes by January 5, 2009. As of Wednesday December 31 we have seen 1,088,506 pets adopted!!!! What a great way to start the New Year!!!!!
Happy New Year to everybody!!!

That’s great news, Bev. I used to think the holidays were a terrible time to get a new pet, but I’ve done a 180 on that, and have written about Home 4 the Holidays a couple of times in the past. I’m so happy you exceeded your goal!
