In both the Ultimate Cat and Ultimate Dog, every single story is an absolute delight! I was really impressed with how very well each one is written. Readers, be sure to keep the tissue box handy! The diverse and fine quality photographic collection is superb. The Must Know Info will be welcome and very helpful to many. These books are an excellent choice for holiday gifts this year. They’d be great even as hostess gifts for pet people. All pet lovers, not just pet owners, will enjoy them. They are both definitely on my own gift-giving list.

p.s. We took the picture just in time. In our honest-to-goodness temperate rainforest where the Redwoods meet the Pacific Coast, our rainy season began just days after! Didn’t matter though; yesterday I went slogging around on trails and through a Darlingtonia bog. The pungent forest air was scented with both Redwood and Incense Cedar. While snapping photographs from the unique vantage point midway across a 100-foot long, single-person suspension bridge at a remote spot on the wild Smith River, it rained at least one inch in five minutes right there! Gina, the flat-coats would love not only the ocean but the many trails and accessible pristine rivers here...of course, for only...ahem...a visit.

I've read both the books now and they're each full of heart warming appreciations of our "furry children," cat and dog alike--and I have both. The added sections on "what to do until the Vet comes" provide useful information for a variety of needs. Overall, a great job and a terrific addition to the pet shelf! Keep up the good work.
