Just because we love pets doesn’t mean we’re idiots

Do they think we’re stoopid? Uh … wait … don’t answer that!
I’m not going to name the company I heard from this morning, because it’s like the 143rd pet-product company to get itself in a mess o’ bad customer feelings (recalls, bad customer service, whatever) and instead of addressing the issues, treating their customers like intelligent grown-ups or, well, cleaning up their act, they call in a public-relations firm, and the idea they inevitably come up with is this one:
Hey! Let’s have a pet photo contest!
Take a picture of this: Us, being not as stoopid as you think. Or you, being actually stoopid for paying for the idiotic PR advice that you treat your customers like children with ADHD.
We haven’t forgotten, and we’re not going to be distracted by a silly photo contest. Not even one we could win, without hardly trying.
Oh come on…out them!

OK then - how about if we just name ALL the companies who have had recalls, refused to address the issues, treat consumers like they are idjits… That isn’t picking on anyone unfairly, is it?

If the “detective work” that I saw going on last year, during the pet food recalls, is any indication of the intelligence of pet owners…
then I would have to say that they are some of the most brilliant and intelligent people on the face of this planet!
