They had a very big booth, but there was a lot of ground to cover so we didn’t stop. My niece was all about the horse-petting and the shopping.

She got off cheap: A new saddle pad, nothing more. :)

The thing that always hits me about dog v. horses: You can spend even MORE money on horse equipment and accessories than you could ever spend on dogs.

My niece bought a new saddle pad. She wants a new trailer, but the one she likes, oh I don’t think her folks are going to shell out $30K!

I picked up some free magazines and petted lots of horses. :)

Hey - that’s what weekends are for - doing nothing of importance!

Looks like you missed John Lyons yesterday. Too bad - I found his approach very “clicker-like” when I saw him - even though he’s not a clicker trainer. Same “reward for small successive approximations of the final finished behavior” thought process, though. I’ve heard horse people call it “rewarding the try”. Which can be pretty much the same thing so long as you continue raising your criteria appropriately.

Have fun at the horse expo. That “Dream Horse Art” exhibit looks pretty interesting!
