Hello, India calling!

The news that the Honda Element was named DogCar of the Year is making its way all over the world, as evidenced by today’s posting on Sify.com, which claims to be “India’s pioneer & leader in Internet, Networking and e-Commerce services, and the first Indian Internet company to be listed on the Nasdaq National Market in the US.”

The posting points out that Honda is so much into dogs in Japan that the automaker has an entire website devoted its dog-friendly vehicles. Even rival Toyota has launched its own dog-driven site.

And just in case the automakers don’t think that all this puppy PR is translating into sales, we offer this wonderful note from a couple of dedicated DogCar.com readers in Maryland:

My wife and I were inspired by the 2007 Dog Car of the Year award that you gave the Honda Element. So we went out and placed an order for one (which we are picking up later this week)!!

But the reason why I am emailing you all this evening is because my wife and I would really like to get a sticker or some t-shirts that have the DogCars.com logo on them. If you all sell such items, please let me know because you’ve got a sale with us!

Thanks again, and I wish you all well.

Thanks to you as well for helping make DogCars.com a valuable resource for all things DogCar related.

Here’s where you can get all sorts of DogCars.com gear. Send us a photo of you and yours with a DogCars.com sticker and we’ll post it here.
