We had a major development here last night: Clara decided to PLAY with Ilario. I was so excited to see this development I called Christie. (Yes, my life is THAT dull that two cats getting along rates a phone call to a friend.)

Gina--I have to withdraw my offer to buy Ilario
(you would never sell him) because after reading about the OTHER Pat's cats, I remembered what a time I had with Brandy, one of the cats I have now. She would attack Batman constantly and he chose to live outside for a while rather than face her charging at him. He was partly ferral to begin with.

Eventually she mellowed. Now at 15 yrs. of age she only gives him trouble when he wants to get food or water that is near her or he wants to get by. She sticks out her paw at his face.

He is so much stronger than she is but she has a dominant personality.

Some cats get along, some do not. Why can't they all get along? Could it be felines are like people, only more obvious? Ah, the mysteries of life!

To the OTHER Pat:

Beautiful calicos--maybe love will conquer over fighting eventually.

I enjoyed seeing the picture--beauties, they are.

"Will Ilario cuddle up to Clara once in a while?"

Well, my kitten's almost a year old, and here's a shot I got last week:

http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2005-4/995078/DSC00326.JPG

Mind you that it's been MONTHS of the adult calico not even wanting to be in the same ROOM as the kitten. And the kitten hasn't exactly helped her cause as her modus operandi for the longest time was "Charge! and Tackle!".

But maybe things are FINALLY getting better . . . . . . . . . . .

Too cool! I think we're going to see more changes like this. I'm sure enjoying my pet chickens. Especially Charlotte the Barred Plymouth Rock. She's very friendly and likes to be picked up and petted.

Gina--Breaking News in Fort Collins.

The Fort Collins Coloradoan's headline today is:

"P&Z welcomes chickens".

If the council approves, MY cats will also be able to watch chickens (in someone else's yard).

They propose to allow up to 6 chickens in a coop but no roosters. Reasons are cited atwww.coloradoan.com.

Seems people like getting fresh eggs and also fertilizer for their home gardens in my city, also.

And so the soap opera continues on--

Will Ilario wait and not touch Clara's tail but wait until he gets his lap time?

Will Clara want to play more with him?

Will Ilario cuddle up to Clara once in a whille?

I will tune into this blog to find out the latest scoop--about the evolving friendship of the beautiful duo.
