Crate check: It’s all in the intangibles

Sometimes it’s the intangibles that determine whether or not you like a product — or a person for that matter.
When DogCars.com product reviewer Kim Campbell Thornton tested a dog crate from PetMate, she was impressed by how it met all the basic needs for a dog owner. It has enough space, good accessories and is clearly a safe product for pets on the go.
But what really sold Kim on the PetMate Kennel Cab were two intangibles:
1) How hard it is to assemble?
and
2) How easy or difficult is the crate’s front door to open and close?
Those are two areas that I’m sure the people at PetMate took into consideration when they designed the Kennel Cab, but they wouldn’t necessary be top of mind for someone when they are shopping for a new dog crate.
Clearly the PetMate product passed Kim’s test, because she gave it a solid, four-out-of-five paw rating.
You can read her review here.

If cars can be made with fold down carseats for small children, why can’t they come with fold down petseats complete with restraint systems. It is so hard to put the dog seat in and out every time you need to carry the dog or don’t need to carry the dog. It would be nice to fold down the seat, hook the dog to the restraint, and go.
Anybody up for the idea?
