The staff at the shelter do care and try hard but getting the dogs out and working on basic commands needs to be a part of the officers job description. I’m sure they would enjoy their job more that way too!

At least now Mr Sims has acknowledged that there is a problem, whereas until now he was in total denial. It is up to all of us who care about animals to keep the pressure on but in my experience it is much more productive to focus on the positive . There is a hard road ahead but I believe we are at least on the right road.

True .. and a definition of craziness is doing the same thing over and over, expecting a different result.

At a certain level, yes, because the County Executive will still be the County Executive no matter what. However, there were no announcements made about the actual shelter management. So that’s an open question at this point, I’d say.

I live in King Country, and I truly hope things take a turn for the better. Though I do agree, that keeping the same administration as before may not be the best idea…
