Just reading Janeen's comment now, and I agree! What a great accessory...to have a barrier that allows the dogs to stay inside the shaded interior, while leaving the rear door wide open to allow for a breeze, etc.

We have an XC90 and its a great little back-up dogcar (a Toyota Sienna is our mainstay). As responsible dog owners we never haul the dogs around without the barrier in place - but - we'd like the nice folks at Volvo (and Toyota too!) to consider constructing barriers for the REAR ENDS of their vehicles.

We travel to a lot of shows, seminars, trials and other dog-related events where we can park our vehicle in a safe, shady spot next to where we're sitting and if we had a good REAR vehicle barrier it would make those times when the dogs would prefer to rest (supervised) in the quiet of the car much safer and simpler.
