Every morning after breakfast, Clara immediately heads out into Clara’s Secret Garden, which is also the home of Velocity The Rabbit (VTR). A few days ago, I noticed her grooming him, but every time I try to get a picture, they stop. I’m starting to feel like a private detective trying to catch someone having an affair!

This morning was typical. I raised the lens (on the other side of the kitchen window!) and VTR immediately had an itch to chase, while Clara took on a posture that clearly says: “Huh? No, I never met this guy before. I’m just waiting for a bus.”

Busted? Well, not quite

  1. You could apply to get them on “Cheaters” but personally, I’d recommend Scotland Yard - they always get their man.

  2. I didn’t realize that VTR was almost the same size as Clara. It will be interesting to see you your new boy (Tortellini, right?) and VTR get along.

  3. OMG Clara totally has that ‘what, hello? Just tying my shoe’ expression.

  4. Clara might be saying she doesn’t want you snooping. However, I think you will outwit them both someday and get your groomin pic.

“Creamsicle” boy will add a lot more interaction. Please let us know his name when your decision is made.

  7. Just checked - Comcast is beating Menu 70% to 30% right now. At least it won’t come down to Superdelegates, hehe.

  8. I may be a dog person, but I love the attitude cats bring to the party!

Hope you get the oppurtunity catch Clara in the act

  9. I truly believe that cats do things that we are never meant to see. Grooming a rabbit would seem to be one of them. Keep trying though. It’ll make a great pet photo contest entry If you can catch them in the act ;-)

  10. I think there’s a “camera trap” in your future - ask terrierman or follow some of his links for excellent picture taking advice from people who really know how to take the “Who, me?” out of wildlife photos. Can’t wait to see those “candid” grooming shots!
