There’s a lot of automotive news rolling out of the Big Apple this week as the prestigious New York International Auto Show prepares to open Friday for a nine-day run.
Most of the news is about — not coincidentally — cars, of course. But once in a while there is news of a DogCar nature that we will share here.
Today’s first item is Big DogCar news. As in HUGE! Check out the new rig that rolled out today to help promote Cottonelle brand toilet paper. The bus’ official name is the Cottonelle Comfort Haven, but it’s more appropriately known as the Puppy Bus.
Launched today in New York, the Puppy Bus will travel the U.S., making stops in Philadelphia, Chicago and San Francisco, to promote ways to be kind to your behind. The bus is modeled after the Cottonelle cute yellow Labrador Retriever puppy mascot and features plush massage chairs shaped like puppy paws, along with various relaxation stations to help educate folks on how to take care of their posterior.
For all the bottom-line puns you wish, read this.
More from New York: Following its successful dog-safety press event at the Chicago Auto Show, Volvo continues the theme in New York by partnering with Bark Buckle Up to give away more than $20,000 in pet safety products to visitors who come by the Volvo booth.
Also, on Friday, the opening day of the show, Bark Buckle Up will present Volvo with the Pet SAFE vehicle award, honoring the automaker for actions to help ensure that all pets travel safely.
