The joy of having them with us for their all-too-brief lifespan is worth the pain of losing them. Cutter really did look spectacular last night. A show ring with flatcoats without the wagging tails is a horrible thought. Although many of the tails in Westminster a bit too happy (the tail should be a natural extension of the topline after all). And I can't quite get my head around the way retrievers are stacked in US shows. But it's still fun to watch. Flatcoats are supposed to have wagging tails.
