The current show clip is an over-the-top parody of an actual working clip. Poodles would be much better off with the real working clip, and placed in their correct group, the Sporting Group. These dogs are water retreivers.

I think you've put your finger on what I don't like about watching Vicky. She's not having fun, her handler doesn't see any reason why she should be having fun--and they keep winning over dogs and handlers who are having fun, who enjoy each other and the competition. Correct temperament is part of the standard, and if Vicky has typical poodle temperament, her handler isn't letting her show it.

Somebody spay that dog, and send her to a pet home!

I felt sorry for Vicky the toy poodle. Her handler treats her like a piece of priceless and lifeless porcelain, and she showed like it. Poor little rich dog. She looked like she was having a pelvic exam, with her mind very, very far away. (Close your eyes and think of liver.)

At least the Standard Poodle had a look on her face that she knew it was all a big joke and that there really, truly was an intelligent, athletic DOG under all that doofy human ego statement.

I LOVE poodles -- ESPECIALLY the standard poodle -- but that stupid 'do and its BS apology for it (functional working dog, protect the joints, blah blah blah) needs to get the deep six.

Yah UNO! Ahhhh-roooooooo!

All I watched was the online video of my breed. Since my breed never makes the cut, and this year's ( and last year's) BOB is bred by a commercial miller, that's all to the good!!!!
Makes me wonder though, what marvelous things could be done for the good of the breed by this person if she hadn't joined the Dark Side of dog breeding.
