I live in a Super Tuesday state and just got home from voting. My (very) local elected representatives were there “glad-handing” folks, and I made a point of grabbing each of them and letting them know that in the event any dog-related legislation came up having to do with breed bans or limit laws or mandatory s/n, etc. that they needed to make sure they TRULY understood the issues rather than just superficially passing “feel-good” legislation. They both took my card and said they were glad they had a resource to call in the event that such legislation comes up.

Take advantage of these opportunities when they present themselves!

What about responsible pet owners like myself?

My little Mandy is a strictly indoor kitty. She was not spayed until 9 mos. of age (which I understand most vets recommend 6-9 mos. for spaying). I felt it best as she seemed slow in maturing.

She came through the surgery very, very well, and experienced a short recovery period.

There are just so many variables in animals…just like people. Some mature later than others.

Four months is awfully young.

And yes, what about the puppy mills and irresponsible breeders?

It seems that either our City Council has not done their homework or just don’t care?
