It never bothered her. I figured since she came from Ireland she was probably used to that kind of weather anyway. We're on Canada's south coast, and she learned right away to go out several times a day in freezing rain and snow. Being a northern spitz, she loved the snow. The rain on her little feet, not so much. Nothing has changed over the years. Can't keep her in when there's snow to play in. Had to invent a "wet dog" game so she'd go out when it rains. A winter solstice baby myself, I think it gave us good preparation early on. My oldest was 9 weeks old when I got her at the end of November many years ago. But slipping on ice is bad... hope you're okay!
