Get a great deal on our books — and help a friend

My friend Pamela jumped at the opportunity to provide the books for a talk and signing that Dr. Becker and I did last year for our first two books together. The signing was at the main library in downtown Sacramento, but for one reason or another — weeknight, cold weather, dead downtown — not that many people showed up. So Pam had a few cases of books left over. She has sold a couple hundred books since, but there’s still a couple hundred left.

These are signed books, mind you, with my John Hancock in them and Dr. Becker’s, too. Buy one for yourself and one as a gift — or a hundred as a gift, if you have that many friends.
The price is $13.49 each, shipping included. Which means, basically, that you’re getting the shipping for free, the signatures as a bonus and still saving a little off the retail list price.
Did I mention these are autographed books?
Pam runs a very nice pair of side-by-side small businesses (Launderdog and the Bark&Bling) here in my hometown, specializing in top-quality pet gear and food, with a self-service dog-washing tubs and full-service grooming as well. I do most all my shopping for the critters there — aside from the bunny hay — and some of my dog-washing. Plus, her staff is great. Nice people, all in all, and true animal-lovers.
But if you can’t get to Sacramento, order the books. Otherwise I’ll be duty-bound to buy them all myself because I was the one who talked Pam into ordering so many.
Chances are you have more friends than I do, so help a girl out here, will you? Buy some books.
Beside, they’re great books, and it’s not just me saying so. One of them is a New York Times best-seller. Whaddayagottolose?
P.S. Our new books aren’t bad, either. Check them out in our bookstore.

I just ordered one of each for my birthday present — from me to me. :)

Thanks!
Hey, my birthday — my 50th — is Dec. 31.
Please don’t send more pets!
Instead, buy a book, for yourself, for a neighbor, for a friend, for a family member, for a child, for your local library.
I want Pam to sell these books. It’s tough for a small business to sit on inventory!
Don’t worry: If she runs out, there are plenty more in all the bookstores. :)
/end of shameless begging
