Today I’m taking my niece (who turned 16 this week) to the Draft Horse Classic.

Oh my gosh! She is so adorable. How much does she weigh? Looks so much like my first cat — stripes on sides of eyes & forehead, white on lower muzzle & neck!

Hold Clara & just peak for one split second. Then subtract.
Let’s have a “Guess Clara’s Weight” contest when Clara is one year old!
My Maine Coon-like kitty weighed 16.6 in his prime!

See - that’s another benefit of being a home soapmaker (and having a small dog!). I just put him on the same scale I use to weigh out my soapmaking ingredients (and get a VERY accurate weight, to boot! LOL!)

Our new boy kitten - a Maine Coon mix(?) who looks a *lot* like Clara - is now over 6 pounds at 5 months, and still growing like a weed. He’s a little tank who eats literally everything and anything. So good luck with Clara - hope she’s more discerning, if no less gorgeous. :)

Gina: Yeah that is the downside of weighing the cat. My big guy is on a ‘diet.’ That’s the theory anyway. The reality is somewhat disappointing. But every week I weigh us together and then try to guess whether its him or me that hasn’t lost (or gained) any weight. Then I weigh myself and see. What fun! Not.
