I am going to stop buying commercially prepared food and make my own for my fur kids. Then perhaps I have to worry less about what they are getting in their diet. Barb

I go to Banfield. My vet has been very good so far.

Unfortunatly, my kitty has HIGH levels of CREATININE and High BUN count. He was put on IV’s last week and his numbers started to drop. They wanted him in for a follow up blood test today to make sure his levels were still down. However, now they are even higher than the first time I brought him in! I am very scared! He will be on IV’s for 2 more days. And on prescription food called KD for kidneys for the rest of his life (if he gets one!). He is only 6 months old! I am so sad. These companies are KILLERS!

My friends and myself are experiencing vets that play down the pet food problem. I had my 2 dogs and 4 cats’ kidneys tested. The vet reported that they were normal. I got the printouts of the results a few days later…My pets were the top number of normal - any higher and it would have been abnormal.

How do you find a good vet one that is concerned with your pet instead of pushing their Hills Prescription diet food supply? The vet even said that the no pets in middle TN were sick from the food. My cat is skin and bones - gave me some antiobiotics and treated me like I was stupid for being concerned. I doubt if he makes it through the nigh. He continued to get more sick. My dog has doubled her width since the first of February — She has not been eating any more food. But they all had been eating the recalled food.

Thanks for listening - that is more than the vet did even so I paid $200/pet!

This is for Molly: I am trying to trust the information gotten on the Purina Pet Foods site. They have a bulletin above their information stating NONE of their pet foods are on the recall list (I have not found any myself). I am sticking to Friskies all the way and my cat seems just great. I’m also disgusted but I’m wondering, what foods are SAFE to feed my cat? I don’t seem to get good answers. Does someone know some food that is ok? Right now I’m feeding him Friskies dry gourmet poultry flavor. But with the concern now about dry foods may be involved, I’m still a bit nervous… can anyone help out here…

Clueless, could care less. Not my responsibility. They’re all dangerously insane— a danger to themselves and others— enabled by their relentless reinforcement of their double-standards, hypocisy, and greed into pure insanity. It’s just get it while you can before the whole damn thing comes crashing down.

I have been getting continous chills down my spine all morning, this is mind-boggling. All I can say, is that Im glad Pet Connection is keeping on top of this for all of us and although its extremely sad that we are all here together over something like this, it helps to have this group to be with during this awful tragic time.
