I think that we dog lovers need to get organized the way soccer or softball leagues do. My theory is that as animal lovers we are so chill, so laid back and relaxed in general that we don't shake things up as much as we should to get what we want AND need!

By the way, I got your book "Why do dogs drink out of the toilet?" yesterday and I love it! It has some great tips (love the one on getting skunk smell out!) and annectdotes.

Happy Turkey Day!

Gina,
Very good points! I long for a legal place to take my 7mo Aussie pup Scout to run and socialize with other dogs and dog people. I am fortunate to live very close to a private college that unofficially allows us to let our dogs use their athletic fields (acres and acres) as long as we clean up and keep them under control.

On any given weekend day there will be 20+ dogs playing by 10 am. Scout checks out the owners as much as the dogs and is a much more mellow dog later in the day. Unlike a work day which he is kenneled until I get home from work and then it's Frisbee in the dark to give him something more than just a walk.
